So much love at this wedding. A lot of it was coming from me. I adore these two, and I simply loved this wedding.

When they had been dating for a year, Nathan gave Michelle a beautiful vintage Schwinn bicycle.
That was probably when Michelle knew she had a keeper.

Allow me to take you way way back for a moment. Back, all the way to September of 2012. The most memorable event of the month? Karis and Brandon got married. It was a cloudy morning, with thunder clouds rolling through the area threatening to rain on this planned outdoor event. But by 2 or 3 the sky looked almost completely safe. The thick Texas clouds had lightened up and were moving quickly across the sky The sun was peeking through, the air had dried up, and things were all set to go. an absolutely ethereal looking Karis remarked calmly that, you know, if it rains a little bit before the ceremony, no big deal, we’re doing this thing outside.
The weather held. Right up to the very moment that Karis began her walk down the aisle. Right at that moment–downpour. Disaster, no?
No. Look at the smiles on their faces. It was amazing. A brief hiatus was called to move the proceedings inside, and a soaked bride and groom said their vows in front of an intimate group of friends and family.
It could have been a total nightmare, and it was one of my favorite weddings of the year. Because Karis & Brandon are in love, and love conquers all, MOTHAH NATCHAH!
I adore this wedding. I don’t know why I haven’t blogged it until now. I’ve been saving it for something special I think. Or maybe because blogging it sort of means it’s officially come to an end. I don’t know, but I’m sorry I held this back from you all.
Belated congrats are in order to Erica and Joey who were married a couple of weekends back here in Austin. It was a lovely ceremony, and honest to God, the craziest dance party ever. Stay tuned.

Our amazing clients Maggie + Southpaw had their wedding featured on Ruffled today. This was truly a really special event. Amy and I could not stop talking about it for weeks. We are so happy for them that Ruffled decided to share it with the world.

katie + eric were married this past weekend in Marble Falls. the whole day was as happy as it was gorgeous. Congratulations you guys!
Here’s another engagement shoot we shot last year in downtown Austin, that I never got around to blogging. Preeti + Albert. were married this past January in Houston. They came to Austin for their engagement shoot one windy, grey day last fall. Fortunately, they shined bright enough on their own. We didn’t need any stinking sun.
Amy + Marco are getting married this April, and we can’t wait for their wedding. I was going through some stuff today and realized I had never blogged their engagement shoot. We shot these on a cloudy day last spring. The clouds were amazing, and Amy and Marco were adorable. Bonus points if you can figure out where they met.
